Francine L. Brown is a Sacred Body Worker, Jin Shin Jyutsu Self-Help and Reiki Master-Teacher & Kai Chi Do Instructor, she tailors each session by integrating Jin Shin Jyutsu, Therapeutic Sports Massage, Swedish, Neuromuscular Therapy, Reiki & other modalities into each session.
Brian blends clinical and relaxation massage with Jin Shin and energy work.
Brian has been practicing in bodywork since the late 90s and Massage Therapy since 1997. In the late 90's he began his own practice providing energy work and acupressure. Originally affiliated with Chiropractic for Life and the Garrett Hypnosis Center.
In 2006 he joined the staff at Illinois Bone and Joint institute as an Athletico employee providing clinical massage. Brian attended Northern Illinois University for his undergraduate studies and New Beginning School of Massage as well as Star Institute for Advanced Body-Centered Therapy.
He is currently pursuing his Master's through the Josephinum Diaconate Institute.
In his free time he enjoys archery, Filipino martial arts, meditation and contemplative practices.
Maya is a massage therapist who is earning her BFA in creative writing. She has a profound relationship with and love for her grandmother. She has a deep love for embracing the depth of all humans and has found that bodywork has woven these interests together.
When Maya is not at Bless This Body, she spends much of her time cycling along the lake, identifying herbs, and tinkering around the house.
She is currently under the mentorship of Francine and aims to move towards specializing in working with populations at the beginning and end of life.
Jeri Frederickson focuses on clinical massage with a trauma-informed lens. She graduated from Soma Institute and does Swedish, sports massage, trigger point therapy, lymph massage and hydrotherapy.
Her professional journey has brought her to theatre, writing, and working in the arts with survivors of trauma. She attended Antioch University Los Angeles for her MFA in writing and Hope College for her undergraduate degree in English and Theater.
She enjoys learning how the body and mind heal and sharing this knowledge with others. She would love to be part of your ongoing learning and healing.
Helen Bordon is a certified yoga instructor of gentle yoga, and yoga for trauma and chronic pain. Her own journey of working through chronic pain from arthritis and other issues led her to Jin Shin Jyutsu.
Her personal yoga practice helped her recognize the healing power and efficacy of Jin Shin Jyutsu, the gentle art of assisting the body's natural energy flows into harmony. The study and practice of Jin Shin Jyutsu has greatly enhanced her own health and well-being.
Helen has consistently studied and regularly practices Jin Shin Jyutsu since 2019 and has completed the required courses to be recognized by the Jin Shin Jyutsu organization as a practitioner capable of treating others.
